Maui Shooting Range
The Only Indoor Shooting Range on Maui
Looking for a shooting range on Maui? Join us at our family owned, indoor 30-foot-long shooting range!

Remember: This is not your backyard or an open field, Maui Ammo and Gun Supply is the only indoor shooting range on the island. You’ll see no-nonsense protocols, strict firearms handling, and every precaution taken to make sure you as well as the people around you are safe.
For locals and visitors alike, it’s an opportunity to engage with firearms in a way that’s disciplined, contained, and above all, safe.
Maui Shooting Range Bookings & Indoor Rules
Our shooting range is limited in size and time, so make sure you plan ahead. Booking in advance is highly recommended to ensure you are not waiting for your chance to hop in and have some fun.
Due to limited space we allow a maximum of 4 firearms in each lane regardless of the amount of people using the range.
Here’s what you’re allowed to bring:
● Two long guns and two handguns
● One long gun and three handguns
● Or just four handguns
Every firearm coming through that door must be cased and unloaded.
The rules are meant to keep everyone’s focus where it belongs: on the skill, the precision, and the discipline.
Allowed Calibers
Our Maui shooting range has strict limits on the types of firearms and ammunition you can bring. No shotguns, no rifles above .223/556, and no handguns over .45 caliber. The idea here? Keep it comfortable, keep it manageable, and keep everyone focused on the target without the threat of excessive force bouncing around. It’s about respecting the range and keeping things safe.
Ammo Rules
Every round you bring will be inspected at the door. Only factory-loaded ammo makes the cut—no reloads, no exceptions. If it’s got a steel core, or it’s a bi-metal bullet, it’s not going in. A simple test: if a magnet pulls your bullet, leave it behind.
Protective Equipment
Personal protective gear is mandatory at our shooting range, and while we don’t rent it out due to COVID restrictions, we’ve got equipment for purchase. If you’re stepping into this range, you’re stepping in fully geared.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a Shooting Range?
A shooting range is a specialized facility designed for firearm practice, training, and competitions. It provides a safe and controlled environment for individuals to hone their shooting skills, whether they’re beginners or experienced shooters.
What to Wear to a Shooting Range
Shooting requires practicality, closed-toe shoes and closed top shirts are highly recommended. No loose fabric and minimal bare skin as possible around the brass—hot brass and skin don’t go well together. Dress like you’re here to focus because every detail counts
How Much Does it Cost to Visit our Shooting Range?
At base rate a 30 min session cast $30 per lane while a 70 min session cost $50.
Rentals start at $25 for a rifle and $20 for a handgun.
How to Transport Firearms to the Gun Range
If you’re bringing your own gun, the rules are black and white: it must be cased and unloaded. No exceptions. Everyone here follows the same rules, from the most experienced shooters to the greenest first-timers. Transport your firearm like a pro: unloaded, locked up, and ready to be inspected.
Can I Bring Food & Drinks to the Shooting Range?
Lead and food don’t go well together, we don’t allow food or drinks inside the range, period. If you need a break, step outside, refuel, and come back focused. Hydrate before you step in, but leave everything else outside.
What Will You Need at Our Shooting Range?
Stepping onto the range requires more than just a firearm. Here’s the full rundown:
● If renting a Valid ID (and if you’re under 21 but at least 10, a guardian with you)
● Factory ammo, following all the rules
● Eye and ear protection, mandatory for every shooter
● Proper attire – closed-toe shoes no loose or exposed clothing
What’s Required Beyond a Safe Range for Safe Shooting?
Safety goes beyond what’s on the sign-up sheet. Here, safety means respect, discipline, and following the basics of firearm handling:
● Every gun is always treated as if it’s loaded
● Never point a firearm at anything you don’t intend to shoot
● Keep your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire
These are the rules that every shooter lives by. In a space like this, they’re not just guidelines, they’re life-saving measures.
Can You Go to a Shooting Range When You’re Pregnant?
The noise, the potential for lead exposure, the overall intensity – it’s generally recommended that pregnant individuals avoid the range. The sound, recoil, and environmental risks mean it’s better to sit this one out. Always check with a healthcare professional, but most would advise you to steer clear for now.
